A lot of churchy people claiming to be "saved" will be surprised when Jesus denies them entry into heaven. Not
every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom
of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many
will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy
name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.1
Everyone desiring to be “saved” must be “born again” “of the Spirit”. Jesus
answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of
water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.2 Eternal life is only by and through the Spirit according to the will of God. Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.3
In addition, the members of the royal family of God live by knowing and doing the will of the Father as their only father. And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.4 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.5
